John Smith My grandparents were immigrants to this area back in the late 1800's or early 1900's. They worked on farms as hired help to get started in the area. Now, I have been lead to believe that these new immigrants are brought off the plane one day and sign up to food stamps and social services the next day. Excuse me-if that is true-that is not right or fair to the community. Why can't Lutheran Social Service support them 100% until they are fully independent of any needs??
