Paul Mergens carries Kent Hjelseth back to his house in the River
Oaks development in south Moorhead Wednesday. Hjelseths home
is enclosed in a dike surrounded by flood waters. Mergens gave Hjelseth
a ride while on his way to check on a friend.

14 and son Cody, 11, back into their home as he treads cautiously
on washed out 19th Ave. N.W. north of West Fargo Tuesday afternoon.
The children both attend Park Christian School in Moorhead and their
