Survived by husband of 25 years, Rick; daughters, Eli, Paula, and Grete Miller; parents, Charles Stenso and Dianne Stenso; brother, Cal Stenso-Velo (SuzAnn); sister, Kristy Stenso; parents-inlaw, Jerrold and Mary Miller; brothers-in-law, Dirk (Joan), Mark (Alison), Kurt (Lynne) and Cris (Sheryl) Miller and sister-in-law Susan (David) Goerg.
05/09/2008 Mayo Manfred Swenson was born on January 27, 1924, in Sheyenne, North Dakota, to Fred and Signe (Peterson) Swenson. Mayo spoke Swedish until he entered Plainview country school near their farm and showed early promise as a singer by winning a regional talent contest with his rendition of “Oh, Danny Boy.”
05/09/2008 Curnal W. Ferguson, 88, of Grafton and former Drayton area farmer and businessman passed away early Wednesday morning, May 7, 2008 at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton. He was born on the family farm in St. Andrew Township of Walsh County on April 8, 1920, the son of Curnal and Lillian (McEwen) Ferguson.
