Fargo-based Noridian Administrative Services has been denied a $150 million, 5-year bid to provide Medicare administrative services in four states.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world’s largest retailer, announced Monday it would expand its discounted prescription drug program to offer 90-day supplies for $10 and add several women’s medications at a discount.
Owners of B.D.S. Books Christine and Brad Stephenson moved their business to 1200 1st Ave. N. in Fargo last year. Brad Stephenson said a sharp increase in rent at his former building on Broadway in downtown Fargo prompted the move.

Exxon Mobil profits up 17%

Exxon Mobil Corp., the world’s largest publicly traded oil company, said Thursday record crude prices helped its net income grow 17 percent in the first quarter, but the results came in below Wall Street forecasts.

Gas jumps above $3.67, oil passes $126 on Venezuela concerns

Oil rose above $126 a barrel for the first time Friday, bringing its advance this week to nearly $10, as investors questioned whether a possible confrontation between the U.S. and Venezuela could cut exports from the OPEC member. Gas prices, meanwhile, rose above an average $3.67 a gallon at the pump, following oil's recent path higher.

March trade deficit drops by bigger-than-expected amount

The U.S. trade deficit narrowed sharply in March as demand for imports fell by the largest amount since the last recession was ending. Analysts forecast that trade would continue to be one of the economy's few bright spots this year.

Circuit City allows Blockbuster, Icahn to review books
